Toybox REVIEW: Revoltech Triple Transformation VF-1A Hikaru Ichijo custom

As promised here are a few shots of the new Revoltech VF-1A which arrived in the post today. While pretty much the same as the VF-1S, this version of the Macross DYRL valkyrie sports red markings rather than yellow and a different head sculpt. Unlike my VF-1S the head fitted on with relative ease (much to my relief!). However the arms of the figure are incredibly floppy and struggle to pull off any decent poses holding the gunpod (which adds alot of weight to the arm). It's easier to pose in battroid (robot) mode, but since I plan to display it in gerwalk mode alongside the VF-1S it's a little disappointing. As you'd expect, the same overall rating applies.

With  Ultraman  now spreading its light on a worldwide scale, it's easy to forget that it wasn't all that long ago that the franchise was in a pretty precarious place. Series REVIEW: Kamen Rider Gavv

Of all the weird and wonderful bits of Kamen Rider merchandise out there, one piece that's easily considered the stuff of legend are the Kamen Rider Gummi . Ask anyone who's been following the franchise for the two decades, and they'll fondly recall the adverts of the child who can't get enough of them, crying out his catchphrase of "juicy!" With how much of a tradition they became over the years, it's amazing that it took until 2024 for an actual series to adopt them as its motif. While not strictly about the franchise's particular brand of gummies, sweets, confectionary and all things sugary take centre stage in Kamen Rider Gavv - the sixth main line Rider series of the Reiwa era and 35th overall. Series REVIEW: Kamen Rider Zi-O

Over the past 20 years the Kamen Riders have battled against the likes of the Grongi, Unknown, Fangire, Orphnoch, Greeed and so many more. They've been doctors, demon hunters, wizards and detectives. Some have journeyed through the decade and travelled through time, while others hail from parallel universes. But eventually all things come to an end, and as the curtain closes on the Heisei era a new one is about to begin. But before welcoming the Reiwa era with Kamen Rider Zero-One , Toei celebrated the longest consecutively-running period in Rider history with Kamen Rider Zi-O . As the 20th and final Heisei series Zi-O pays tribute to everything from Kamen Rider Kuuga all the way up to Kamen Rider Build , with plenty of guest stars and surprise developments to see the era off in style.
