Release Date: June 2023 RRP: $24.99/£24.99 Even as the Power Rangers Lightning Collection bowed out (at least for the foreseeable future anyway) after 15 main waves and countless sets/exclusives, it still continued to throw out a few last-minute surprises. But it also made sure to finish a few more teams nearing completion on its way out, including Power Rangers Dino Thunder . With the team spread across four years it was a bit of wait, but Hasbro definitely chose a good one to finish on. The Lighting Collection Dino Thunder Black Ranger is the final member of the team to be released, and is the final ranger form of legendary hero Tommy Oliver – now a palaeontologist and mentor a new team of rangers.

Release Date: December 2022 RRP: $24.99/£24.99  The Lightning Collection may be as good as dead by this point, but despite all the QC woes it will at least go down as the most varied and arguably best Power Rangers figure line collectors have ever gotten (and potentially will ever get). Though there were a number of teams sadly left untouched during the line's four-year run, some however were lucky enough to be completed – one such example being fan favourite Power Rangers Dino Thunder . The Lightning Collection Dino Thunder Yellow Ranger joined the line as part of its 12th retail wave at the end of 2022, completing the core trio of heroes despite being the fourth in the series to be released by Hasbro .

Release Date: May 2023 RRP: $124.99/£118.99 Full team sets don't really come along all that often in the Power Rangers Lightning Collection , so whenever one is announced it feels like a pretty big deal. But while Hasbro had previously tested the waters before the Psycho Rangers set with some individual releases, with the Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers it's all brand new! The first (and currently only) release of the Alien Rangers of Aquitar , this set features all five Rangers alongside the usual selection of accessories and effect parts.

Release Date: April 2022 RRP: $24.99/£24.99 When it comes to both Power Rangers and Super Sentai toys, logic tends to dictate that if a company is going to only release one member of a team it's going to be the Red Ranger. They are largely considered to be the mascot of the series, and it's certainly the route Bandai Tamashii Nations have taken with the revived S.H. Figuarts range. But to their credit Hasbro have bucked this trend quite a few time with the Lightning Collection , only only jumping between teams but also colours as well. Wave 10 saw the debut of Power Rangers Wild Force in the line, kicking things off with the Lightning Collection Wild Force Lunar Wolf Ranger . If you're not starting with the Red, then sixth is always a solid place to start as well.

Release Date: April 2022 RRP: $24.99/£24.99 Despite an obvious bias towards the original series, all in all the Power Rangers Lightning Collection has done a pretty good job of releasing rangers from a variety of different teams. While there are still plenty unaccounted for and lots of incomplete teams, it has at least covered a fair portion of the franchise one way or another over the past few years. But as important as looking back on the franchise's 30-year history may be, it's also important to look at the present – with the lines tenth retail wave including the Lightning Collection Dino Fury Red Ranger . As the (then) currently airing series as well as one of the first fully under Hasbro 's leadership, Power Rangers Dino Fury marks a key point in the Power Rangers timeline and one definitely deserving of representation in the line.

Release Date: August 2023 RRP: $33.99/£33.99 Despite Hasbro having covered Mighty Morphin Power Rangers rather extensively in the Lightning Collection already, there was no way they were going to let the 30th anniversary of the series slip by without doing what Hasbro do best - releasing them all over again. To their credit though, at least they were brand new pin-less moulds sporting more accurate details, better head sculpts and a wider range of accessories. But among the six original Rangers in this "Remastered" line was arguably a far more desirable figure - a new Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Rita Repulsa release. Previously only available as part of a "silver wedding anniversary" two-pack release with Lord Zedd , this new deluxe Rita is an all-new mould that truly celebrates the legacy of the character and franchise.

Release Date: October 2021 RRP: $41.99/£45.99 While Power Rangers in Space might be the series with the most figures in the Lightning Collection outside of Mighty Morphin , collecting them all is certainly no easy task. Between the single box releases, deluxe figures, double packs and even multi-figure sets the price can add up quite quickly – and that even applies when only picking up the core team itself. The Power Rangers Lightning Collection In Space Blue Ranger Vs. Psycho Silver Ranger set was initially the only way to get T.J. (however he has since been also made available in a deluxe set with his Galaxy Glider), as well as the second In Space Ranger to be part of a double-pack. The set pays homage to episode 34 of Power Rangers in Space , where Silver Ranger Zhane disguises himself as a sixth Psycho Ranger to confuse and defeat the evil ranger team.

Release Date: February 2022 RRP: $41.99/£45.99 With one team member from Power Rangers Zeo left to release, one would think that Hasbro would just get them out as part of an upcoming wave to complete another team on collectors shelves. Of course this isn't how Hasbro operate, and why give you one figure you want when they can bundle it up with one you probably don't? Though to its credit, the Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger & Zeo Pink Ranger set is a clever idea for a two-pack release - channelling the rise of the team's second Pink Ranger Katherine Hillard  whilst also releasing yet ANOTHER version of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Pink Ranger into the wild. This set was initially released in the US as a GameStop exclusive, however was also made available via Hasbro Pulse in both the US and the rest of the world.

Release Date: June 2022 RRP: $26.99/£32.99 And just like that, another Power Rangers  Lightning Collection team is completed! Although admittedly this isn't one fans had to wait all that long for, given that all six Mighty Morphin Ninja Rangers were released in 2022. That said, the  Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Ninja Red Ranger did come a little later than most of his teammates, joining the Yellow Ranger as a June release whilst all the others hit in January. Though by this point the Red Ranger wasn't the leader of the team it does feel somewhat fitting for Rocky to be the one to round off the team, gaining new Ninja powers from the Ape Power Coin.

Release Date: June 2022 RRP: $26.99/£32.99 While the bulk of the Mighty Morphin Ninja Ranger team were released by Hasbro in one fell swoop, the last two members came a few months later. Why this was is anyone's guess given how crazy Hasbro's release schedules have been over the last few years, but nevertheless getting the whole team in a matter of months is still a pretty crazy achievement. The Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger joined the Red Ranger as the final two releases from this "wave", representing second Yellow Ranger Aisha Campbell as she gained her new ninja powers from the Bear Power Coin. "It's time to boogie with the bear."

Release Date: January 2022 RRP: $26.99/£32.99 Getting all of the Ninja Rangers as part of the  Lightning Collection  in a matter of months was definitely a big plus to Power Rangers collectors, but as a reviewer I definitely felt the need to try and space them out a bit to keep things varied. So continuing on with these unique forms from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season 3 and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie we have the  Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Ninja Black Ranger , which was released alongside White, Blue and Pink with Red and Yellow then joining them a few months later. Following the loss of his dino Power Coin Adam Park now takes the power of the frog, "like the one you kiss to get a handsome prince".

Release Date: February 2022 RRP: $22.99/£23.99 Wave 10 of the Power Rangers Lightning Collection was notable for rounding off two popular teams from the original Saban era. The Zeo Yellow Ranger   joined to complete Power Rangers Zeo , while fans also could also complete their Power Rangers In Space  team with the release of  Lightning Collection In Space Pink Ranger ! Cassie Chan succeeded Katherine Hillard  to become the second Pink Turbo Ranger, before blasting off into space with her teammates and joining Andros in his fight against Astronema and the forces of Dark Specter .

Release Date: January 2022 RRP: $26.99/£32.99 No matter what anyone says, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is always going to be Hasbro's priority when it comes to the Lightning Collection – especially with the show's 30th anniversary right around the corner. However when it involves also getting throwbacks to season three and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie , the repeated release of the original Power Rangers team(s) might not be such a bad thing. Continuing on with Hasbro's journey through the Rangers' ninja powers is the Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Ninja Blue Ranger , where original Blue Ranger Billy Cranston took on the powers of the wolf – cunning and swift.

Release Date: January 2022 RRP: $26.99/£32.99 While Hasbro have for the most part made a point of stretching out completing teams in the Lightning Collection for as long as possible to ensure its longevity, sometimes they do throw Power Rangers fans a bone and finish them up in one fell swoop. One such example are the Ninja (or for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie fans, Ninjetti ) Rangers of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season three, who all came as single pack releases within a few months of each other. In fact, Hasbro were so keen that they even released two versions of the Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Ninja Pink Ranger ! While this review looks at the initial Kimberly Hart variant, a second based on second Pink Ranger Katherine Hillard was released shortly afterward on Hasbro Pulse .

There's been a lot of fantastic toy releases this year (and as usual I'll be counting down my personal top ten at the end of the month), but as 2022 draws to a close many collectors will start looking forward to all the things they've got preordered for the coming year. So for my final top five feature of 2022 I'm looking forward to the five toys I'm looking forward to most next year. All the entries below have a confirmed release date so we're certain they're coming in 2023, and I'm pleased to say I've secured preorders on them all as well. Will any of them make the top ten toys of 2023 list? Only time will tell…

Release Date: December 2021 RRP: $57.99/£58.99 (PulseCon Exclusive Edition), $33.99/£35.99 (Standard Edition) The first wave of Power Rangers Lightning Collection deluxe figures with met with cheers from fans – finally we were getting larger, more articulated figures of classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers monsters with (Hasbro's words) premium paintwork. Then their release came and we soon found that they were far from perfect, suffering from being a little TOO big and sporting not-so-premium paintwork. The fact poor old King Sphinx and Pumpkin Rapper (who is actually still a VERY good figure) ended up discounted everywhere speaks for itself. However Hasbro persevered, diversifying the deluxe range with ranger/vehicle sets as well as more familiar monsters. And as far as iconic Power Rangers monsters go, a Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Pudgy Pig was inevitable. This figure was initially available in a special Hasbro PulseCon set before being made available at genera...

Release Date: February 2022 RRP: $22.99/£23.99 As the Power Rangers Lightning Collection continues to chug along comfortably, another fan-favourite team draws to completion. Following on directly from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers it isn't any surprise that Power Rangers Zeo is another series that Hasbro were quick to complete, with the Lightning Collection Zeo Yellow Ranger being the fifth member of the team to be released as part of the general retail waves. The only one outstanding was the Pink Ranger, who was released alongside yet another version of MMPR Pink in special two-pack set. Whether she'll join the others as a single release any time soon is anyone's guess, but it's nice to know the whole Zeo team is out there for those looking to grab them.

Release Date: July 2022 RRP: $27.99/£26.99 Another team in the Power Rangers  Lightning Collection comes to completion, although admittedly it is one that has already been completed a few times over already. Fans of the divisive Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season three power up rejoice as the  Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin 'Metallic' White Ranger arrives to complete the original team of Power Rangers in metallic armour form. Like the rest of the team, leader Tommy Oliver is an exclusive release to Hasbro Pulse (where available).

Release Date: January 2022  RRP: $27.99/£31.99  While the Lightning Collection does have a rather unfortunate focus on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for the most part, at the very least Hasbro have shown fans that they are prepared to do some interesting things within the confines of that original series. Rather than just getting the rangers themselves ad nauseum (although that isn't to say that isn’t a problem as well), we've also had our fair share of villains – from core characters to episodic monsters. But those episodic monsters are nothing without their creator, which the arrival of the Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Finster was such a pleasant surprise. Rita's chief monster maker comes as a somewhat special release exclusive to both Amazon and Hasbro Pulse.

Release Date: January 2022 RRP: $26.99/£32.99 Even though the core Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team have been released about three times over by now, Hasbro certainly aren't going to be done with them any time soon. When their original Power Coins were damaged in battle against Rito Revolto , the rangers sought out new coins from the mysterious Ninjor – gaining new ninja powers in the process! Now the rangers' ninja forms – used in their countless battles against the Tenga Warriors , have arrived as part of the Lightning Collection . With the power of the falcon, the Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Ninja White Ranger is ready to lead the team in a brand-new chapter in the fight against Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa .
