Release Date: September 2024 RRP: 9900 yen As the first series in the Heisei era and still undoubtedly one of the most popular in the entire franchise, it isn't surprising that the S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Ultraman range kicked off with Ultraman Tiga . But with some copies of the figure suffering from both parts degradation and paint issues almost straight out the box, not everyone was convinced these were quite to the same level as their Kamen Rider counterparts. But three years on and the range has continued to make improvements as it has branched out into other series. It isn't quite done with Ultraman Tiga yet though, and as such S.H. Figuarts -Shinkocchou Seihou- Evil Tiga has felt long overdue. An Ultra twisted through a forced merger with Cytech Corporation CEO Keigo Masaki , this new Evil Tiga figure is a Tamashii web exclusive and the fourth Shinkocchou Seihou (and seventh S.H. Figuarts) release from Tiga .

Release Date: May 2022 RRP: 6600 yen If anyone needed further proof of Ultraman Tiga 's popularity, the fact it's managed to get so many S.H. Figuarts releases that aren't the titular character in such a short space of time is a fairly good indicator as far as merchandise is concerned. Hot on the heels of Golza and the GUTS Wings set earlier in the year, Bandai Tamashii Nations continue to expand the range with the series' first Tamashii Web exclusive item - S.H. Figuarts Kyrieloid ! Demon-like aliens who believed themselves to be the architects for both humanity and the planet Earth's future, the Kyrieloids battled against Ultraman Tiga before returning again on a parallel Earth to also face off against Ultraman Trigger - an event where Tiga and Trigger fought side by side.

Release Date: January 2022 RRP: 2200 yen In addition to silver giants battling against giant monsters and aliens, there's one aspect to the Ultraman franchise that's remained relatively untouched by the S.H. Figuarts line until now. Most Ultraman instalments feature some sort of science or military team that utilise technologically advanced vehicles - inspired by the likes of Thunderbirds and the other works of Gerry Anderson . The overwhelming popularity of Ultraman Tiga has once again convinced Bandai Tamashii Nations to break new ground with the range - introducing the S.H. Figuarts GUTS Wings 1 & GUTS Wings 2 Set . This accessory set features the two primary vehicles of the Global Unlimited Task Squad , with the GUTS Wings 1 also making an appearance in Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga .

Release Date: January 2022 RRP: 7150 yen As if Ultraman finally breaking in the Shinkocchou Seihou range wasn't a big enough way to mark Ultraman Tiga 's 25th anniversary, the landmark entry in the Ultra Series has now given collectors something else to cheer about – it's second S.H. MonsterArts -sized kaiju release! While Bandai Tamashii Nations previously dabbled in these larger figures back in 2017 with Gomora , subsequent kaiju releases have been on a much smaller scale – and these days few and far between. But what better way to continue the Tiga range than with S.H. Figuarts Golza – one of the first kaiju to appear in the series. Golza is also the first retail release kaiju to have been produced in some time – the previous having been Twin Tail all the way back in 2018.

Release Date: July 2021 RRP: 6600 yen The Shinkocchou Seihou range has been the crowning glory of the S.H. Figuarts line for some time now, but when it comes to the various franchises it covers its scope is severely limited. Whereas Bandai Tamashii Nations have extended into the likes of tokusatsu, anime, movie and video game properties with the mainline, Shinkocchou Seihou has remained strictly Kamen Rider for the most part with a couple of GARO releases also thrown in for good measure. That all changes in 2021 though, with the 25th anniversary of Ultraman Tiga providing just the excuse Bandai needed to expand the line into the Ultra Series . S.H. Figuarts -Shinkocchou Seihou- Ultraman Tiga Multi Type is the first of what will hopefully be many more Ultraman Seihous, and their first version of this phenomenally popular Ultraman since the renewal version Ultra-Act way back in 2014. 2016 has been another big year for the Ultra Series . Just as 2015 celebrated the 50th anniversary of Ultra Q and the franchise as a whole as well as Tsuburaya Productions making the leap into worldwide simulcasting with Ultraman X , 2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the original Ultraman series and the 20th anniversary of Ultraman Tiga (which at the time was the first series in over 15 years). The celebration of these two milestone birthdays and the send-off Ultraman X deserves comes in the form of a feature-length film, entitled Ultraman X the Movie: Here It Comes! Our Ultraman . Although the movie is not available through Crunchyroll like the series, it will however be receiving limited English-dubbed screenings alongside the Ultraman Ginga  movie in the US in 2017.

Although its fair to say that Bandai' s  66 Action candy toy line has been a resounding success, so far only the Kamen Rider franchise has managed to scrape more than wave out of it - with both Dragonball Z and No More Piracy seeming to be a "one and done" affair (though to be fair it isn't like they could do much more with the latter anyway). That's all changed now though as the Ultra Series/Ultraman selection has returned for a second wave, treating fans to a further four figures from Tsuburaya's landmark tokusatsu series. Collectors can now expand their 66 Action collection with the likes of Ultraman Taro, Ultraman Leo, Ultraman Tiga and the Alien Magma.
